& maybe, possibly, we'll see how fake we all really are.

so i've been doing this youtube thing for a while - about two months consecutively - things have been going pretty well! I'm almost up to 100 subscribers (I'm at 98 at this moment). So that's exciting. but anyways, i've been on youtube for a while now, searching and watching endless amounts of videos in my free time. And every girl is the same. I'm not saying i'm any different - becuase i'm not. Every girl copies another, and I think i've narrowed it down to a group of 20 or so girls who are the trendsetters of the beauty gurus on youtube. And those girls aren't original either - their ideas come from magazines and celeberties.

and that leads to me to the vague question of - is anything original? what is original? is it simply quirky and different then you've ever seen before, or is it the first - the very first? What does being orignial mean to you? or to me even? I think no man, or no wo-man is original - that every idea is sprouted upon from another. each idea is built upon another. So what was the original idea that thousands or ideas stemed from?

I'd like to know that.

thanksgiving (belated)

what i'm grateful for ;;>>

this is super belated, but i'm grateful for so many things, and i haven't really pondered over them! It's kind of because my friend recently texted me saying how she thought she had nothing to be grateful for, her parents lost their job as of five years ago and told almost noone, her boyfriend broke up with her recently, her grandparents were having medical issues and on top of that, she wasn't doing all that great in school. Just when life gets you down though, you have to think of what is amazing in your life. What really you are thankful for because everyone should appreciate what they have, had had and will have.

- a loving and amazing friends and family who are alwalys there for me - no matter what! They're there when i'm down and there when i'm up and it's amazing to have that support with you at all times.
- my parents both have their jobs and can support me and my sister financially. They can send both of us to college without much aid and i'm so grateful for that. Wasting money is a big problem, so i try not to waste money. We dont' buy plastic water bottles and just use reusable steel bottles. Not only are they eco friendly, but you can save money by just pouring in filted water and bringing that to school!
-i go to a great public school with a great program for all my studies and extracirriculars. People where i live have so many oppurtunities!! I'm grateful for all of mine wheter to advance my studies in school or another area.

a trip to the big apple.

HAUL TIME!
in picture format - sorry for how bad the pictures are, but you'll get the jist.
so you know how everyone thinks that everything in NYC is uber expensive, like beyond belief?? Bloomingdales, Macy's, Tiffay and Co., J. Crew, Guess etc. All of those stores dominate the city, but how about the teeny vintage stores that are dotted across Manhatthan or the uber chic boutiques across Nolita, Soho and the West Village? Those are the best place for shopping - the best kind of shopping, budget shopping. If you go ahead and start on Broadway you'll find an amazing amount of stores across Soho and if you seek into the far corners of lower manhatthan you will find delicious deals. Here are a few of mine:

Grey Short Sleeve Sweater Dress with Wooden Buttons -$18.99 (I forgot the name of the Store but it's in Soho)

Funnel Neck Military Style Wool Grey Coat - $27.99 (Neccesary Clothing in Soho)

Amazing Riding Boots in Black Faux Leather - $27.99 (at a store called, Amsterdam in Soho)

Bright Blue Boyfriend V-Neck Cardigan - $13.99 (Neccesary Clothing in Soho)

Black and White Flannel Shirt - $19.99 (Uniqlo in Soho)

I also scored a pair of destroyed bootcut jeans for $9.90 - free hemming too! Sorry I didn't get a pic.

T-Shirt -$4.99 (Amsterdam in Soho)

Look for Less: Prada Vela Small Backpack

Everybody knows about the iconic Prada nylon backpacks. They're classic, alwalys in style and let you tote around all your belongings in an adorabe hands free way.
Prada at ShopStyle
Although the bag is simply gorgeous, and i'd kill to have it, There are other options as well - not many come in the classic colors and nylon that the Prada version comes in, but the style of the backpack is very common!

Sorry i've been away for such a long time - i've started a youtube channel!

Best Gift Bargins

Sorry I've been away for so long! But, I have a great post up for all my dilligent readers!! I've recently been searching for some great gift deals for the holidays (I'm saving up my money right now). This is the only list you need for all your holiday shopping needs. P.S. Taylor Swift's Platinum Edition Fearless came out Yesterday, check it out!

For your Friends:

Mini OPI or ChinaGlaze Nail Polish sets are great for a present for just your friends. I usually buy my bestfriends something more expensour ive and with more thought, but if I feel obliged to buy one of my other friends something for the holidays, it's usually just a little mini makeup set (from Sephora, or another high class beauty retailer) or some cute and cheap accesories (like from the Marc Jacob Recession collection). Below are a few budget beauty polish sites that you can buy OPI and ChinaGlaze polishes for less. There are also some cute gift sets in the holiday collection that include bracelets and wallets! (They're only $10 for 2 polishes and a bracelet)

For your bestfriend:

Try a cute bag, or purse. Something that she'll really love. Getting her something personalized is also a great idea!

long time- no see.

my last post? July 31, 2009. and i'm quite sorry to hear that from myself.

My life has been a busy mess from that point on. I went to dance camp from the beginning of August, until the middle of it. Which was a total blast. I learned so much and it really was the time of my life. I may not have made best friends there, and had met the worst most cruel girls in my life, but the classes, oh the classes! How i'd live to live at intensives. And the residental rehersals for our pieces, they were so much fun! I had some particularly amazing famous teachers, that I absolutely adored. To tell you the simple and obvious truth right now, I didn't enjoy the classes while I was taking them. But now - looking back, they were simply amazing!

Also, at the end of the summer I created a youtube channel - under the name of daisycheekz. Subscribe! :] It's a beauty, makeup, fashion (the obvious love of mine) channel, and I'm really excited about that!

Also, I hung out with my friends, went bikeriding, ate pizza from the local pizzerias, and watched movies. It was a lot of fun to just hang out and relax, for once in my busy life. But - i alwalys got busted for staying out too late from my parents. The terrible consequences for the best things everr.

Anywho, school started, which sucked a lot but I have some great teachers and challenging courses - but I can't wait to get into the middle of the year with the teachers.

I'm going to finish up the Life Changing Experience in China post laterr. :] Just wanted to give a short update!

That Trip, This summer (ctd. Part 2)

How did this become more then a one part installment? I"ll really never know, but it has! The last blog post was about fashion, and ended with a bit of critique - whoops, not supposed to end like that. But in China, I really had a few life changing experiences and one surprising event, I guess I should write about that, trust me, I think this is the last one!

1. Life Changing Experiecne #1
This is probably the most moving event of charity, I myself, have ever participated in. I worked in a school at my dad's local town, Qing Zhou. It's in the province of Shang Dong, and it used to be this teeny town (still is) that was dirt roads, with not even proper runninng water. It used to be completely 100% country. I remember the first time I went there still, there was no normal toilets, they were these holes in the ground with a little cermaic circle surrounding them. The smell is absolutely unbearable, and there is no such thing as sanitary. But, this time when I went back to China, where my heritage comes from, I found a developing town. There were huge department stores, and proper plumbing in most modern houses. But, the sad thing about things developing (which is basically all of China), is that everything old, everything you remember, is just gone - like that. All in three years, all in one year, all in 10 years. It's just gone, and the only part left is that within your memory. A whisp lighter then the floating clouds above your head, right now. Just ponder upon that thought, how sad is it? I had a first hand look at that. I visited the place where my dad grew up, I've been there before, but never has it been so fresh and clear in my mind, which is as well growing up, pondering upon what used to be - the barbies and the games with my sister who had alwalys been so close to my heart. The house where my grandmother lived, who recently passed away just over a year ago, as well as my grandfather was completely under construction, only the foundations and the structure of the building recognizable. My mother told us about how in my father's apartment, there were two rooms, and his parents sacrificied everything for him, their money so he could study. We visited a building just across the dirt street of my father's old house, his best friend's house - at least one of them, the only one he still keeps in touch with. His mother was there, in a tiny little building, on the first floor, made of rock and wood, it look almost primative. Inside I could see there was 3 rooms, plus the "living room" with a TV covered with a cloth cover and newspapers everywhere. She lived alone, had bad hearing, bad eyesight, and her house reeked of something disgustingly unimaginable. But, once she saw us, her smile was brighter then the sun itself and her eyes poured out tears of happeniness and old memories became her. It made me so sad to see that, to only live in the past and remember that, because that is all she has. Her son is visiting her soon, and all these trips to all these people are so bittersweet. Especially one visit, the one to my grandmother. The one in the grave. I'm so glad I still have 3 grandparents, and I will be forever grateful for it. I love them all to death, but the languages that we don't share tear us apart. I find that the hardest thing, not being able to express your love, whether through a bunch of roadblocks such as language, or personality. At her grave, all her children and grandchildren were there with their loved ones. Her daughter weeped tears and howled louder then I"ve ever heard. And her eyes were red and swollen because of the thoughts of loving memeories with her mother. Everyone missed her so much, her importance in everyone's life, including her husband's was so unbearably large. And when I saw this, I knew her impact on everyone's else's lives was great. In the family, everyone alwalys said, the third sister and the first (the oldest and third oldest) had the best children. That was my daddy, uncle and sister. And I bet that my grandmother is so proud of all of them - because they're making their mark on the world, and on the people around them.
Anyways, I forgot to mention my school experience through all of that. The first day I entered thorugh the ratty doors, I gasped inside my head. A rowdy group of about twenty children were sitting on rotting desks and rickety chairs. But, through the week, I made a real connection with some of them, helping them understand and know what it was like in the USA and learn English. The people in this town don't know English very well and even the high school english teacher, well isn't very good. I tried talking to her, and she had a terrible accent and could not speak very well at all.
This is a lot, so another installment later!!

Christie

i've been gone lately...

because, well, guess!!! reallyy!

....

....

I was in China - on vacation! I had so much fun! First, because of the Dollar to Yuan conversion, every dollar is worth about 6.5 Yuan, and about 7 Hong Kong Dollar (HKD) is worth one USD. Isn't that exciting? Because, then everything is like super cheap, and even if you're just a middle class girl here in the US - you're not in China. You can go to the most expensive stores and basically be a really rich girl, and buy out all the best clothes. One thing though, the styles - not so great. Like imagine cotton candy pink, wayy too many frills, neons, and way too many cheap looking rhinestones - ew. It was soo hard to find something without rhinestones. Do you know how hard that is? I bought only up to maybe, 7 things? Because well, I don't really have a love for rhinestones. But, on a brighter note, I did buy some really cute accesories - including a not real, but super cute Anna Sui wallet! I've so much to talk about, everything really, it's like when I came home, I just had to go and hang out with my best friend! So, let's get started. I've already chatted a while about shopping, so why don't we get on with the fashion.

1. Shopping and Fashion
So, I know everyone is so excited about a ton of new collections, fall trends and back to school clothing! I know I'm super hyped. So, for some reason Teen Vogue has been sending me issues, like 5 of them, even though I'm so sure I didn't pay. But, I'll make a list of everything I bought.
-a black vest with tons of pockets, zippers, strings, it sort of reminds me of cargo pants, but in a super comfy sweatshirt material. And it looks rocker-chic, which is the perfect look I wanted. It's about 5 inches above my knees, from a brand called In>Color, and was 70 Yuan.
-a mustard yellow and black dress, from a label I am sure to never remember. Its sort of a "Business Chic" dress, with a satin pencil bottom and adorable black jewels across a square mustard neck. I believe it was about 160 Yuan.
-a double brested, grey sweatshirt coat for 100 Yuan.
- Velvet 3 inch high stilletos in black with a rhinestone detail on the sides. 52 Yuan
- Purple converse with a design on the sides, 30 Yuan
- An Army Green Tote with cute kitten details, 50 Yuan
- Faux Anna Sui Wallet with roses all over, 50 Yuan
Also, from a "Seconds Shop" called The Garmet Shop in Macau, I scored tons of brand name clothes that fit well, but just had some "non-perfection" if you say. I got a Lucky Brand Sweatshirt (50 Yuan), Jcrew Yellow V-Neck Tissue Tee (32 Yuan) and a Calvin Klein Sports Bra (50 Yuan)
That was actually about it, not much for 4 weeks, right?
Also, I have like this huge BTS (Back to School) List! Like seriously, how the hell am I going to get it all? I've scored down some key items, and I'll put them up at the bottom.
But my list includes, 5 pairs of jeans, and cute accesories and clothing.
I recieved the September issue of Teen Vogue, but not Seventeen, I hope it comes by this Saturday! Taylor Momsen is on the cover - I used to love her, and her super cute, super preppy style, Her hair used to be really pretty, straight and I wanted it. But now, it's different, sort of weird layers and it reminds me of a beaver. I have no idea why. But, as usual Teen vogue as zero substance, basically the amount the models featured in it eat. But, let's not get into that...
Charlotte Russe has a totally new collection, that features cool trends and styles, I can't wait to buy stuff from their! Also, the new Anna Sui for Target collection based on Gossip Girl, how much better can you get than that?? I bet it's going to gorgeous, and worth the splurge (well in my sense of money), like that Tracy Feith leather jacket, that was gorgeous, and worth the $150. I checked out "Miley and Max'' or something for Walmart, you know, that collaboration of Max Ariza and Miley Cyrus? Some suff was pretty cute (like the black skinny jeans, a cute vest and the tye dye wash out tees) but others, were just way too out there, and didn't seem at all like Max Ariza, just Miley - such as the leopard print skinny jeans. I let leopard print go one place, my ballet flats. Also, some things were just too juvineille, even for Miley- such as the vest + tee thing, I hate those things. Why connect them? Real layers is the only real way to go! Miley has great style usually, but her collection, is way worse than Hannah Montana's style.
Because this is like super long, I'm only going to post up this section and it'll become a series.
TTFN,
Christie

budget makeup

my life really is a sad thing. I have an extreme love for makeup, but I can't wear anything except the most expensive brands. My budget cannot afford this. And the only type of foundation i can wear is mineral foundation, por example, I recently used an eyeliner and eyeshadow and my whole eye is now swollen. So I'm making a list of budget makeup stores that are for the non-allergic, and well, the ones like me. I'm actually most sensitive to eye makeup. and anything put around the eye area.

Non-Allergic
  • E.L.F. (Eyes Lips Face): Usually found only online at eyeslipsface.com although gift sets are sold in Mandee and some makeup is sold at Big Lots and local Dollar Stores.
  • Drugstore Brands such as L'oreal, Maybelline
  • .mark and avon: sold only through a representative or online
  • Ulta
  • Sephora
  • Coastal Scents

Allergic

  • Coastal Scents
  • Mineral Makeup from any store (except E.L.F.)
  • Ulta
  • Sephora
  • Maybelline
  • Clinique

Starter Makeup Kit

When teens are just starting out while experimenting with makeup, I believe that there is a set kit that every parent or teen should supply for themselves.

The Starter Kit
  • Eyeliner: The basics are three eyeliners, one in black, brown and white. Some eyeliners that are of good quality and are drugstore brands are NYC (the 99 cent ones) and also Covergirl and L'oreal. Sephora makes a great Sephora brand eyeliner. Ones I do not reccomend are from E.L.F. and other cheap brands because they can cause allergic reactions and the Brightening Eyeliner form E.L.F. does not apply any pigment.
  • Foundation: In one of the following forms: Liquid, Powder, or Mineral. There is also a 'whip' avalible from Maybelline. I suggest Milani and L'oreal mineral foundations in both a pressed and loose powder. Covergirl's foundations are the best for a normal powder. L'oreal True Match is the best liquid foundation for my skin type (combination, yellow undertones). When one is just starting out, do not apply a ton of foundation, you only need to apply it to the t-zone to even out your skin tone.
  • Concealer: Any concealer usually works, although again, I do not reccomend E.L.F because I got an allergic reaction to it. PIck a concealer in a shade lighter then your foundation skin tone. Apply your foundation on the dark circles under your eyes and on your blemishes. I like Neutrogena and Covergirl Foundations as well as the Sephora brands and this random Korean brand I bought somewhere :]
  • Eyeshadow: Eyeshadow is the most fun to play with, so I suggest the 78 or 88 matte pallete from Coastal Scents. They are only around twenty dollars and are of great quality. Buy as many colo rs as you want because the looks you can create with shadow are infinite. You can even create a colored eyeliner out of a shadow!
  • Makeup Brushes: Buy a foundation brush, concealer brush, eyeliner or lipliner brush, eyeshadow brush, eye crease brush, eye smudge sponge, blush brush, and a angled bronzing brush. I suggest Esscene of Beauty, Sonia Kashuak and E.L.F. for brushes.

Have fun buying makeup!

obsession

i have one final test over, my social studies one, and four more to go! :) So, in light of that all, I've decided to start a strict summer regimen for myself. and No, it definitely does not involve studying! I've decided to make a ton of DIY things for myself before I leave to China. I've come up with at least 10 ideas for cute accessories and clothes, that are totally 100% mine! I just have to find the time to make them and buy the materials. Do you know Lisa Kathryn? Her headbands are so gorgeous, they've inspired me to somehow make one for myself. :) Do you think it's possible?

praise the Lord

for he is good and worthy of all of our praises, forever and ever. those who shall ignore his presence, even when he is still around you, shun the presence of the Almighty Lord.

thats my thoughts of the day :) on a slightly spiritual high. it's a good feeling. i went walking this morning, at aorund 8 AM, it felt good to be surrounded by God's creations and his creative work. It was the perfect temperature, and I'm going to do it again tommorow :) how utterly random.

my favorite quilted bag, under $50

everyone loves a quilted bag, i mean, the sophistication it exudes is beyond anything you can get form any other bag. Chanel got it all right. So I decided to give you a few great links to big and small bags you can use for either evening or day for under $50. A quilted bag is a worthwhile investment that will never go out of style. For example, after searching Urban Outfitters and their sale section, I found a few great PVC bags, both big and small under fifty bucks. Enjoy the coupon below! My ELF shipment was recently shipped, a review and some looks soon maybe!

Anyways, some other things to blog about,
I love love love Audrey Hepburn, she made such an impression on the world. She was bright and she was beautiful and some of the things she said were truly inspiring.
I've discovered two new bands, Honor Society, parachute and Downtown something. I forgot. darn. anyways, my grandma is staring at me. she's still staring...

If there shall be nothing to talk of,
why shall you talk at all?

did you ever stop to smell the roses?

don't pretend you do. because I know you don't. I'm accusing you, sure, but I'm accusing myself of this crime too. Slow your life down, don't alwalys have something to do. Because if you do, what will your life be when you look back? It will only be full of busyness and stress, nothing notable to remember except maybe a few awards. But most people just busy themselves with shopping and the computer, why not busy yourself with yoga, meditation or excersise. Do something where you can think. Take a walk around your neighborhood and literally smell the flowers or vicariously smell the flowers through a great classic book. If you can just slow down and stop a while, you'll appreciate the great oppurtunities you are provided with and the things you have.

SLOW DOWN! :)

i've hauled out a few things....

i've hauled out a few (okay, more than a few) from the memorial day weekend sales, and I'm so very very very excited to share them all with you! I won't be able to provide pictures until later, or maybe i'll set up a youtube account and make videos for you guys (it seems like fun! my favorite stylish youtubers are ahanhbarbie34 and Michelle Phan they have great tips and are adorable!). Anyways, I went out to a less "rich" part of my area to find the best bargins, because there's alwalys a treasure wherever you look! I love the thrill of the find admist ripped up or hideous clothing! So let me list this out for you ...

From Dots...
$3 black and white wayfarers
$4 faux leather woven belt (waist cincher)

From AJ Wright...
$5 silver strappy sandals (i adoree them!!)
$18 madden girl sandals (black with gold studs)
$13 "high waisted skirt dress" (it's sort of like a white tank with a "belt" and a black and white checkered skirt)
$12 fringe bag in a veryyy pretty tan color

something totally inspiratinal.

what is something totally inspirational? I count on myself to discover this. what is truly good? and bad? What is life? Every person thinks of these questions, and no one discovers the true answer. But, I believe the true answer lies in your heart and someone Else's answer will not suffice in your mind. Someone Else's reasoning or thoughts will not match yours, because each individual person is their own and no one can change that. Every person has their own thoughts and way of thinking. So what's your meaning of life? I have my own definition, and I believe, that every person should have something of their own that they truly want to live up to. Because your success comes from your goals, and your meaning of life is your goal. Set your standards high.

Life \`līf\: completed when you finally finish understanding yourself and knowing that you've affected someone's life in a positive way.

WOW! (and some photos)

yo estoy enamorado. I'm in love. yes, i am. I'm doing a spanish project right now and feeling fat, the best time of the world. I have so much to blog about! First off, WOW! I was looking through JC Penny and found some stylish deals, like a $24.99 Boyfriend Blazer and a ton of adorable I Heart Charlotte Ronson clothing. I can't wait to buy it online and make a video for you guys!

Also, I went vintage thrift shopping today at the thrift store near my library. I bought $6 black boyfriend shorts from H&M (kiddie sized) and a $1 gap vintage leather kid belt that fits my waist.

Plus, I picniked a picture on picnik.com and here it is... (DO NO STEAL! that's why it says christie's picture on it, so i get credit - even if you steal it. So if you're gonna steal it, pretty much stinks x209357 for you.) I made it seem like daylight and twilight at the same time, prettyy darn cool, hm? I'm thinking of fb profiling it? Maybe.

I'm in love with dance movies too! Especially the ballet ones, the only one I know of is "Centerstage" but it's my favorite movie and I'm not even thinking of watching the second one because I know it'll ruin it for me :)

630630630

can anything get any worse? I shall vent to the internet, i guess, and whoever is reading this, which i doubt anyone is. First off, on my SAT II practice test, I got a 630, THAT IS HORRIBLE. Now i'm going to have to go cram every night, because this test is in 2 weeks, and if i dont' get a 700+ I"m screwed. Also, while I was taking the test, all my friends were at the Junior Prom with their dates. I'm dateless (no guys like me, ever) and my mom would never let me go. And after that, my dad screamed at me for forgeting my password, and I fell asleep on my bed, trying to run away from him. While I was moping on my bed, my friends were out clubbing some place. Lucky people.

this is my lucky day...

actually, far from it, very very far from it. I basically killed my day, the minute i got home, i go on my computer, and guess what? I LOCKED IT AND FORGOT THE PASSWORD!! So what do I do? I have no idea, I"m screwed I guess. I"m on my sister's computer and i'm trying to hoard up passwords, but i doubt i'll figure it out. It's something to do with books/music/movies/tv, i know that much. But isn't that a wee bit broad?

Oh, and I can't believe Miss USA dropped her position, just because Miss. Cali. got to stay. Honestly, what a dumb girl. What has the US come to these days? Miss. California has an opinion, and I agree 100% with her for that, she should not be persecuted or humiliated for being herself and saying what she believes! What type of model are we giving our children anyways?

That's all for today, nothing much. Still weeping over my computer.

my most recent fashion obsession

jean jackets, effortlessly cool with ruffles, amazing with anything. And yet, so many people don't own one, what a shame, but good thing - they're making a comeback. The cheap ones at forever 21 or wetseal, they just won't do, you should find a mid-ranged one that is made of quality fabric and will last forever. Good thing, because i've found a few for you.

study, study, study

now who really has time for a life anyways? study your butt off, get good grades. and think of nothing else. that's my parent's motto. but i have friends (well, maybe, i can't be sure about that, i often wander the hallways of my high school alone with people snickering and whispering about me next to me), and things i love that aren't like school, such as music - listening, singing and violin, and dancing. So how am i supposed to balance these things, everything? what is the point of it all? to get more stress as you grow older? sometimes i feel like the potheads have it going on, but then i regret it, because i want a life that was wroth the living.

"An unexamined life is not worth living" -Socrates
I'd rather regret the things I have done than the things that I haven't. -Lucille Ball

Some food for thought.

taylor momsen and leighton meester, singers?

who said I was jealous? haha, joking. little, 15 year old, taylor momsen is an amazing actor, model, and singer, triple threat and taking over the world. She's completely different then generic miley or demi lovato with her rocker feel and everything. But I guessed and know that she smokes, there's a couple videos all over youtube showing her smoking at some christmas party with ed westwick and chace crawford (he smokes? too bad). That's sorta horrible, she's ruinning everything with chace - I don't really care about ed.
Video Below with her new song played at the Annex with the Veronicas called "I f***ing Love You" which she wrote herself. But I must admit, I adore Taylor's style.

leighton meester's new single with cobra starship is called "Good Girls Go Bad." It's totally a mix of some very very popular songs (like Madonna's Bananas) and a ton of other songs. I guess it's her feel, totally different then Taylor's, but her voice is amaizng and strong :) This is such a party song, lovee it! You can look up her other songs called "Birthday" by New Republic ft. Leighton and Inside the Black. She's recording an album soon :)

anyways, i have another obsession, i mean other than obscure music that's a cross between techno, soul, rock and romantic mellow music ;) Haha, a guy has been texting me non-stop and he's kinda weird and ugly - and I don't think I like him, I hope not. I mean. Yeah. It's sorta weird. I just wish sometimes, that a guy would like me, someone who actually fits me or matches me, not some creep. I mean really - please one day? So for now, I'm not even thinking about guys right now and just focusing on finals and getting through school with straight A's and friends who aren't stupid potheads. good enough for me :)

you're looking so cool, you're looking so fly.

never shout never, one word. OBSESSION. I love Christofer Drew, he's the cutest cutie i've ever heard of. forget the fact that he smokes pot and gets high and is slightly funky. really, do it. and listen to this song and smile, because if you don't you're a egomastic human who doesn't contain emotions. TRUST ME :D Listen everyone, please?

"I'm happy knowing that you're mine, the grass is greener on the other side."

He has a new song out called Hummingbird too :). Get Obsessed, now.

P.S. I thought I broke my iPod, because I sprayed water all over it by putting it accidently under running water, and then I sat on it to dry it up, but then it fizzled. But then I turned it on again. woooohoo! Magic Lifesaver iPod. And my alarm clock keeps honking, stupid. post something later more interesting :)

DIY yourselff :D

i've decided i'm going to sew my butt off the next chance i get, and when I get some fabric too...

but i've found this basic tote bag instructional online (http://www.dltk-kids.com/crafts/cartoons/shirts/sewing_a_cotton_tote_bag.htm) and decided to add some spice to it. It's basically a plain tote bag, like show below, but I decided I wanted to add - to a plain cloth tote, two front pockets, sort of like a cargo bag style and a convertible handle style, so a long handle would also be added on with the two short ones. I'm hoping my bag will be a sucess! Wish me luck :D

i know three things evil in life.

and i think I've done them all and every one's done them to me. I'll list them for you.
1. Revenge
2. Spreading Rumors
3. Being an overall mean, snotty, talking behind your back person.

Whoops, I'm #3 and one of my friends has said that "Honestly, you're the meanest person I've ever met." Burn.
And this guy I know, who I don't have a very nice history with, he spread at least three rumors about me this year or to me. One of them was that one of my best guy friends hated me, another was I was going to stab someone (most recent), and the last was that I was pregnant. I am not pregnant, I'm practically a lip virgin. Gosh. All my friends are believing it too. I wrote something about a "Plan" about this girl on a girl's wall, he stalked me (he's not even my friend on facebook) and he thought I was going to stab her. The plan was to be her friend. But I haven't talked about anyone behind their back for the last two days. It's sort of harsh and hard when your best friend says you're the meanest person you've ever met and that night I cried myself to sleep. I didn't and still don't want to face the truth, what am I supposed to say? I'm a mean person, don't talk to me? I want to cry even now, What am I supposed to do? Some people would say change, but it's not honestly that easy, it never is. So what the hell are you telling me, because I can bet you that you can't change more than I can.

I thought I knew myself, but I guess I know myself as a snotty mean person. This is wonderful, and I have to change myself - all over again. All my "work" (the work I thought I put in) is for nothing. And now I"m starting from scratch - again.

Let's do a critical lens on this quote:
"What about taking this empty cup, and filling it up with a little bit more of innocence, I haven't had enough." - Love for a Child by Jason Mraz

Literary Device: Metaphor
Example of the literary device in a book (Romeo and Juliet): "But soft what light through yonder window breaks? It is the East, and Juliet is the Sun." (Act 2, Scene 2, Lines 2 and 3)

Which character should develop this in their lives: Everyone, because this world is a retarded one, but who didn't know that?
Why?: because no one appreciates innocence while they have it, and when they lose it, they want it all back, every drop.

Let's do another critical lens:
"The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it." -Albert Einstein
Literary Device: Characterization
Example in "Head Over Heels" by Ryan Nerz: "And somehow I guess I thought that being different would make everything else different too." Page 1
Which character should develop this in their lives: Everyone.
Why?: Because everyone is evil, and noone gives. Noone cares, what are we supposed to do anyways?

Every Critical Lens ends in a mystery.

just so you know, i'm outta control, oh yeah

just so you know, by Jesse Mcartney. Old times babyy. I miss the old pop boy Jesse, now he's all "Yo, Yo, Yo" and wannabe Chris Brown - not cool, my brother, not cool.
I have three words for you gals out there, CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY. He is amazingg. In A Cinderella Story, he was so gorgeous as Austin, I intentionally watched OTH (One Tree Hill) last night to catch a couple glances of him in his role as "Lucas." He's got it all by the way, "Brooke Davis" is gorgeous on that show. Talking about TV shows, I decided that you have to watch the shoes I'm listing now, or, well, I don't know :)
1. Gossip Girl: lustful, guilty and amazing outfits, the drama never ends. You fall in love with all the boys, including bad boy Chuck Bass, hunky good guy Nate, and the artsy boy who lives in the "Slubs" Dan Humphrey. And of course the girls, well they're complicated. My favorites, Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen), 16 year old rocker fashion designer, Serena Van Der Woodsen, the (used to be) bad girl and devilish Blair Waldor, the girl who used to have it all until her world came crashing around her.
2. Secret Life of an American Teenager, the fictional story of a girl who has become impregonated by the school man skank, who decides to hook up with every girl in school, including the pregnant girl's best friends.
3. 90210: Amazing drama, you learn to love the characters. Worth the watch.
4. Sonny with a Chance: Adorable, Quirky, funny, very cute :D
5. ANTM: guilty pleasure all the way. Model reality show, but no one every really becomes a top model.

That's it! If you can't keep up with this, well, that's too bad, at least watch a few episodes ;D
some more interesting posts soon, i promisee :D

card games

card games, well there are a ton, but the ones I play the most are: Solitare, Chinese Poker, Crazy 8's, Spit and Hearts. And I honestly can never remember the rules to Crazy 8's and Hearts? I have no idea how to play still except that you want the lowest score. I'm utterly clueless. But aren't card games like the game of life?
Play your cards right, and you'll win, living a happy fufilled life in which you enjoyed. Each play, is like a choice in life. And if you screw up? You lose, and you end up being some drugged hobo on the street.
Now that's comforting, eh?
Thought I should just share some thoughts, because after all - that's what a bog is for.

celebrity gossip

i find most celebrity gossip utterly boring, or utterly startling - one or the other, alwlays at an extreme. Like for example, I was leafing through oceanup.com today, and I saw that someone had tattooed Demi Lovato's name onto their inner lip, ew! That's just gross. All the other posts are about someone going somewhere wearing something, boring. stalking celebrities is not cool, they need some privacy too.
just thought i'd rant a little on that subject.

the things i love.

i love it when...
  • Magizenes like "Lucky, Instyle, People Style Watch, Vogue, etc." have titles like, "HIGH STYLE, Low Price Tag". It makes me laugh. Because half of the stuff there, could defintley be found for so much cheaper at a differnet store that the magazine doesn't want to stoop down to and publish. It annoys the bejessus (or whatever) out of me!
  • the flowers bloom, it's super pretty and gives you a feeling of starting over.
  • your hair is just perfect.
  • you have a 'skinny' day
  • you find the best deal ever. You get such an adrenaline rush :D
  • Kathy Griffin and other comedians make fun of celebrities that need to be made fun of :D
  • annoying couples (for example, Justin Gaston and Miley Cyrus) pretend NOT to be a couple. how annoying.
  • you hate something everyone else loves. por example: Philosophy Lip Glosses and Body Washes, ew I hate that stuff, It tastes disgustingg. por another example: The Jonas Brothers, Okay I dont' hate them, i think they got kinda gay though. After their "SOS" blow up, I really didn't like them that much any more. Joe got extremely gross because of Camila de Vil and his almost unibrow. Nick got kinda, urm, ugly. Not to insult anyone or something. Kevin's alright.
  • you just finish working out, huge adrenaline rush.
  • you discover something you never knew you would, it's just like wow :D
  • you eat ice cream in the summer, or drink hot chocolate in the winter, oppisites are amazing.
  • you dance your butt off at a party.
  • you know that someone loves you back more than you do.

This is my whole entire list of loves slash hates - kinda both. :D Just thought I'd share, there's probably tons more, but I have to go study for SAT II Bio, and my mom is probably gonna kill me when she gets home and found out I did absolutely nothing today except watch Secret Life and go on Polyvore. :D

C.H.R.I.S.T.I.E

You're probably wondering why this is an acronym, and why this is the title of my blog. Well, it is an acronym, and it stands for something.
C: the Curious
H: Happenings
R: Related
I : with the Interesting
S: Subjects
T: To do with
I :Intuituive
E:eitsirhc

Okay, that was lame, but what can I say, I thought it would be like J.O.N.A.S, but that didn't work out too well. I'm actually listening to Demi Lovato's first song, "Moves Me." She sounds mighty sultry for a 12 year old. Sometimes I'm jealous of those Disney Stars (Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus etc) because they're basically living the big life. Every girl across the country knows their name, but whether or not they like them or not, that's a different story. They have everything, they can meet all the stars - big and small. But, they can't live a normal life, every other girl in the country has that, and they don't want it. And sometimes, I like my normal life.
By the way, I just watched Demi Lovato's new "Don't Forget" music video, It's cute. Her lyrics are okay - kinda repeatitive, even though I know if i said that on the street, a bunch of fan girls would KILL me. She looks super sad though, and it kinda made me feel sad, is that good? I actually really want to see her in her '09 tour, and I'm going to buy her new album-whenever it comes out. And apparently her "Don't Forget" Deluxe Edition is out already. something like that. She got a lot better, let's just say. But I still don't fully approve of any other Disney Star's Musical talent, I think Disney is just one big fluke. Disney Star once, Disney Star forever. You're a not a real Star, until you're not a disney star anymore. That's all for my ramble on Disney, more later, everyone.
Music Video - below. :D
